When buying frozen vegetables or fruits, please make sure that these are only the fruit and vegetables themselves and have not been “enriched” with flavors, spices, marinades, flavor enhancers or other additives!

vegetable stew

Basically, all you need to cook a healthy vegetable stew is  a packet of frozen mixed vegetables. Of course, those without additives. Be careful, as many vegetable mixes are premixed with herb butter.

You just have to cook the mixed vegetables in a little water with vegetable stock powder. If you want, cut some sausage into it or sprinkle the stew in your soup plate with some grated cheese. With a thick slice of fresh bread or a roll, you get a full meal

Avocado spread

This quickly turns stale bread into a healthy recipe idea! All you need is a ripe avocado, the flesh of which you finely mash with a fork. Brush the freshly toasted bread with the avocado mousse and season with pepper, salt, chilli or fresh herbs to taste.

Colorful summer salad

Salad is now also ready-to-eat, washed and ready to eat on the refrigerated shelf. To turn it into a colorful summer salad, all you need to do is grate a few cucumbers or chop tomatoes and make a sauce from vinegar and oil.

Please do not use sachets for salad dressings or ready-made sauces, because both products contain additives that are completely unnecessary. There are also fresh herbs from the freezer!

A fried piece of meat with bread is suitable for this. Maybe a chicken fillet or a beef fillet? Also vegetarian patties from the refrigerated counter are here excellent supplement to the salad to a full meal.

Rosemary Potatoes

This healthy recipe idea cooks by itself. All you need to do is buy small potatoes and sprigs of rosemary. These are usually fresh in the refrigerated counter. Wash the small potatoes and place them unpeeled in a freezer bag. Pour in some olive oil and move the potatoes around in the bag until they are evenly coated with oil.

Now place the oiled potatoes on a tray and sprinkle them with coarse sea salt and fresh rosemary needles. Then bake them in the oven for about 25-35 minutes. Meanwhile, you can make the dip from quark and a frozen Italian herb mixture.

Cream of Vegetable Soup

Cream soup can also be prepared quickly and easily if you use frozen vegetables. In principle, you just have to cook the frozen vegetables very soft and puree them with the hand blender.

Before serving, stir in a mug of sour cream or reduced-fat cooking cream and then use the hand blender to froth the soup again. The following (frozen) vegetables are particularly suitable for this:

  • Carrots (already frozen in slices)
  • Peas
  • pumpkin
  • Kohlrabi

Season to match the vegetables with spices or fresh (frozen) herbs and serve with a thick slice of fresh bread, crispy toast or fresh rolls.
