It is so that foods that contain simple or complex carbohydrates lead to an increase in blood sugar levels. It doesn’t matter whether we consume sugar or grain products, only the speed is different.

Grain products first have to be converted into sugar, sugar of all kinds (sweets, fruit, vegetables, honey, etc.) goes straight into the blood.   • Whole grain products,
  • Mineral water, especially medicinal water (it is always worth comparing labels!),
  • Tap water with sufficient water hardness,
  • Liver,
  • Poultry,
  • Fish,
  • Cocoa,
  • Nuts,
  • Potatoes,
  • Spinach,
  • Kohlrabi,
  • Soft fruit,
  • Citrus fruits,
  • Legumes,
  • Bananas,
  • Sesame,
  • Milk and milkproducts.

Mineral water, in particular, can play a decisive role in your magnesium intake, pay attention to the labels and then change the type of mineral water!

Think about the fiber!

As explained earlier, the amount of fiber in the diet affects your blood sugar levels. If you want to regulate your blood sugar level with your diet, you should make sure that your diet is high in fiber.

The following measures are important:

  • Choose whole grains
  • If possible, eat fruits and vegetables with their peel (absolutely organic!)
  • Avoid white flour products
  • Supplement with flaxseed meal, wheat bran and similar toppings

You will find that high-fiber foods fill you up faster and longer, and your blood sugar levels rise and fall slowly. You will see how your blood sugar reacts in a correlation with diet.

In order to generally regulate blood sugar with your diet, avoid blood sugar peaks and prevent hypoglycaemia, you should heed a few simple but very effective rules and implement them in your everyday life:

  • Consistently avoid sugar

  • Forbid any snacks between meals
  • Always buy whole grains
  • Supplement with fresh vegetables

Basically, a healthy normal weight promotes all body and metabolic processes, which is why you should aim for a normal body weight through a healthy weight reduction diet. A normal weight and a balanced, healthy diet are the best prevention of any health problem.

It is not possible to generally lower your blood sugar with diet if you have long been immersed in the depths of type 2 diabetes. In the early stages or with occasionally increased blood sugar levels, however, you can regulate blood sugar very well with your diet and have a positive effect on the healthy.
